Covid19: 44 slum dwellers from Saliasahi slum put under quarantine
Bhubaneswar (TF Bureau): Taking serious note of rapid spread of covid19 in Saliasahi slum, largest slum in Odisha’s capital city, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today put as many as 44 slum dwellers under quarantine.
These people were said to have come in contact with the person who has been detected Covid19 positive two days ago.
According to BMC officials, they have launched a contact tracing in the area to register people who were in touch with the infected person in the slum. In the process they have found 44 persons from the slum who have come in contact with the latter.
The travel history of the affected is that he had returned from Gujarat.
Excluding the persons those put under quarantine, the city administration have also launched an active surveillance in the area to trace more, the BMC officials added.
