Bhubaneswar (TF Bureau): In view of COVID-19 pandemic and the flood-like situation in the State, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed legislators in to extend all possible help to JEE Main candidates.
“Students are the future of the and part of our family. It’s our responsibility to ensure that they do not face any problems in appearing for the JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) exams,” said Patnaik.
The JEE Main exam for admission to engineering courses will be conducted between September 1 and September 6. Around 9.53 lakh candidates have registered for the JEE Main.
Similarly, NEET UG exam is scheduled to be held on September 13. Around 15.97 lakh students have reportedly registered for the NEET.
To help the students, Odisha government has already declared that there will be no lockdown or shutdown in the State from August 30 to Septemer 7 and from September 12 to 14.
Besides, the Naveen government on Friday announced that it will provide free transportation and accommodation facilities for the candidates from the State who will appear in the upcoming JEE and NEET exams.
